Founded in 1952, a famous confectionery that continues to be made in Ueda, Shinshu
Since its founding, "Shinanoji Usagiya" has been producing and making sweets that incorporate Japanese and Western techniques using local ingredients such as walnuts, soba, apricots, and apples. Many people enjoy the products, and the famous confectionery "Kurumi Soba", which represents Usagiya, is especially appreciated as a souvenir of Ueda not only in Shinshu but all over the country because of its simple taste.
We have opened a new store at the entrance of Shinshu Ueda and Shioda Plain.
Shinanoji Usagiya, which celebrates its 70th anniversary in the 4th year of Reiwa, has relocated its store and welcomed a new departure. It is called Kamakura in Shinshu and can be said to be the gateway to Shioda Plain, which has been selected as a Japanese heritage site. You can reach us in about 5 minutes on foot from the Ueda Dentetsu Bessho Line station, which runs through the idyllic scenery.
Shioda Plain is a rich agricultural area and a place where various crops can be harvested. After visiting Usagiya, please take a short trip and enjoy the scenery of Shioda Plain.
